Reactive Dog Training in Devon - I help dogs feel better inside and out.

Behaviour and bodywork for calmer, happier dogs.

Tired Of Stressful Walks With Your Reactive Dog?

Living with an anxious or reactive dog can feel overwhelming. Every walk feels like a battle. You’re on high alert, scanning for dogs, people, bikes — anything that might set your dog off.

Maybe your dog barks, lunges, or shuts down completely.

Maybe you’ve started avoiding certain routes or even walking at odd hours just to keep the peace.

It’s exhausting. Stressful. And not at all the life you pictured when you first brought your dog home.

The good news? You don’t have to live like this anymore.

Once we understand what’s really going on - inside and out - your dog can start to feel calmer and more confident. And you can finally enjoy your walks, instead of them feeling like a battleground.

Charis is just brilliant. We now have a calm, happy dog who loves his walks and interacting with other dogs. The training has been life-changing!

Before We Label Dogs As 'Reactive' Let's Check If Their Bodies Are Crying Out For Help.

When dogs struggle with big emotions, there’s often more to the story. Sometimes what looks like reactivity is your dog’s way of saying something hurts.

So before we start training, we look deeper - at movement, posture, routine, and comfort - to uncover what your dog’s behaviour is really trying to say.

As a qualified behaviourist and massage therapist, I bridge the gap between body and behaviour so we can get to the root cause of your dog’s struggles.

❌Most behaviourists suspect pain might be involved - but can’t confirm it.
❌Most massage therapists treat pain - but can’t connect it to behaviour.

My unique combination of expertise means we don’t just manage symptoms, we help your dog feel better, so they can behave better.

I cannot recommend Charis enough! I have seen a number of trainers and by far the best results have been with Charis. My dog’s anxiousness and reactivity have improved massively!

FAQS

💬What if I don’t think my dog’s in pain?

That’s completely okay - many dogs hide discomfort incredibly well. My role is to rule it out, not assume it. Sometimes a subtle physical issue is all it takes to tip a sensitive dog over the edge. By checking their comfort first, we make sure the training and behaviour work actually lasts.

💬 Is it too late for my dog?

Absolutely not. Dogs of all ages can learn new skills and grow in confidence. It’s never too late to make things better.

💬 How much does it cost?

The Canine Behaviour Support Package costs £445 for eight weeks of support. This includes everything mentioned above, and access to additional services at a discounted rate. Think of it as an investment in your dog’s wellbeing — and your peace of mind.

💬 How does it work?

We begin with an in-depth consultation to understand your dog’s life, health, and environment. From there, you’ll get a tailored plan plus ongoing support to guide you every step of the way.

💬 Will this really work for my dog?

Every dog is different, but the approach I use is designed to look at the whole picture. By working on confidence and wellbeing alongside behaviour, we see lasting improvements.

💬 What if I need help between sessions?

You’ll never be left on your own. With WhatsApp and email support, I’ll be there to guide you whenever you need reassurance.

You Don't Have To Do This Alone.

Your dog’s anxiety doesn’t have to define your relationship. With the right guidance, you can both feel calmer, happier, and more connected.
